Around 1 pm on Monday, May 12, a fire broke out at the Hunebelle stadium in the Paris suburb of Clamart, with smoke visible from the capital. Witnesses reported that two loud explosions were also heard. The Paris Police Prefecture stated that the explosions were due to gas cylinders at the construction site.

Israel has launched a series of huge air strikes in Lebanon’s capital Beirut, targeting what it says is Hezbollah’s central headquarters.
